Dear Prayer Partners,

We praise the Lord for moving us to Floripa. The move went very smoothly, without any complications. We are feeling very at home in our new house and neighborhood.

We praise God for already giving us several opportunities to share the gospel with our neighbors. Most people seem to be at least interested to hear why we are here. Two occasions which really encouraged our hearts were our neighbor across the street and our realtor. Christen was able to visit the lady that lives across the street from us, Jo, and present the gospel of Christ to her. She listened agreeably but we do not believe she has believed in Christ as her Savior yet. We were also encouraged to be able to share the gospel with our realtor, Graziella. I was just dropping off some old bills with her when she asked me what kind of ministry my family was planning on having in Florianopolis . She seemed very interested and we hope to have more openings to talk with her in the future. My brother David and his wife Sharon have also had many opportunities to share the gospel. What a privilege to proclaim His gospel!!

Please pray with us that God would grant us the privilege to beginning some Bible studies with some of these people very soon. The “Taylor Team” (David and Sharon , Christen and I) have been seeking God in prayer to know His direction as to how to begin this ministry here in Floripa. There are many methods available, but the main method that we will probably employ is to make a point to establish relationships with the people, not delay to share the gospel, and then offer in-home Bible studies to explain the gospel in fuller details, if they so wish.

We praise God for helping David and I translate a gospel tract into Portuguese. Translating a tract is a difficult process, especially when you want to remain faithful and clear to the gospel message. David and I are very excited about this tract and how God will use it to draw people to Himself. Please pray with us that God will use this tract to at least provoke some questions in the heart of people, and perhaps give us a chance to lead many to the cross of Christ.
