The year 2008 is almost history. A slogan in Evelyn`s home church comes to mind often.
"Only what is done for Christ will last."

Our summer schedule is as follows:

December 29, opens up our 2009 camping season, with a day of training the counselors. I will be teaching two courses: Philosophy of Camps and Philosophy of Counseling Campers.

January 6 - 10: Ladies camp. Evelyn is the director with the help of Martha and several ladies from our church.

January 12 - 18: Our Victory Baptist Church family will go on two mission trips to help the national missionaries that we support. Our believers are excited about serving! Both of these trips will be north of Trujillo.

January 19 - 24: Children's camp, ages 8-11: We will be taking my brother, Willmer, back to Lima to return to the USA. He is also a carpenter and is helping me work on some needed projects for camp that I have not had the time to do. Evelyn and I hope to use the rest of the week for our annual medical physicals.

January 26 - 31: Pastors`camp in Lima.

February 2 - 7: Baptist Mid-Missions Annual Peru Field meetings in Lima.

February 10 - 14: Family camp

February 16 - 21: Junior camp, ages 12 - 14.

February 23 - 28: Youth camp, ages 15 - 19. Martha will be a counselor, and Evelyn a floating counselor where needed.

February 23 - 28: Youth camp, ages 20 and up. Again Martha will be counselor and Evelyn a floating counselor.

I am on the camp grounds to keep everything working and to be available for emergencies. This year we will have a camp evangelist that will spend personal time with the unsaved campers. One church gave us 40 scholarships for unsaved campers. We are praying for a harvest of souls during the camp season.

The 2009 Bible College school year begins March 9.

PRAYER REQUESTS:

1. Pray for strength as we serve the Lord in each ministry of the summer in camps, keep the church going and prepare for classes again in the Bible College.

2. Pray for the new souls that will be won during the camping season and those Christian campers that make life decisions for the Lord.

3. Pray for victory over the tricks of the devil. Problems with the well, lack of electricity and many other things can make the camping season a challenge.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR FAITHFUL PRAYERS FOR THE MINISTRY HERE IN PERU.

MERRY CHRISTIMAS TO EACH OF YOU.

For His glory,
STEPHEN AND EVELYN
