Dear Family and Friends,
Originally, we had planned to send out this prayer letter at the beginning of
December. Well, we got so excited about returning home to Iowa for most of December,
that we forgot the list of new subscribers. So, rather than send to two groups, we
decided to wait and send it to everyone at the same time...just a little bit late.
In a world inundated with obligatory political correctness, we want to wish you a
Merry Christmas! May you be encouraged as you reflect on the true reason for great
joy to all the earth, Jesus Christ!
November 15th we were blessed with the opportunity to present our ministries at
Bethlehem Baptist in Orange Village, Ohio. Since Paul's high school was next-door to
the church, he became close friends with several members and Pastor Morris' family.
If you ever want a good laugh, this is the place to be. As always, the fellowship was
greatly uplifting.
The following weekend took us to Calvary Baptist in Hubbard, Ohio. While at the OARBC
conference in October, we were able to meet Pastor and Mrs. Garlich. At the time, they
seemed to be quite a delightful couple. Once this weekend had come, we finally got to
see just how encouraging and friendly they really were. We look forward to going back
for a New Years Eve service and family game time at the church.
We are now in Iowa on vacation for much of December. Until our move to Ohio, Joanna
had lived in Iowa all her life. It is good to be home.
Just this month, a faithful supporter and dear friend had to discontinue financial
support for us. At first we were saddened, but completely understood the situation.
However, just about that exact same time, we were contacted by someone else desiring
to support us in the coming year. While we did lose some support, the gain was just a
little bit more. We continue to praise the Lord for his provision!
We want to thank you for your continued prayer and financial support. As we look
towards a new year, we desire to know Christ (Phil. 3:10) better! Would you pray that
for us as well?
In His Service,
Paul & Joanna Avery
